A programme of basic skills, coordination and introduction to the gymnastics environment
The Early Years Scheme contains two levels back to back in one training book.
Little Gem has theme based learning. There are eight different themes with ideas of how to make movements fun and imaginative.
Each theme has eight skills. Themed stickers are available for children to stick in their books. Once a theme is completed a themed medal is awarded.
The scheme can be assessed by observation in the sessions or by testing whichever feels most appropriate or suited to your club. It is available for boys and girls and also involves some assisted work with adults.
Junior Gem has eight sections (levels 1-8) with twelve moves in each – (10 out of 12 to pass a level).
Once a level is completed a medal is awarded. When all 8 levels are completed a certificate and t shirt are available.
With a more adult look the Junior Gem book is available on it’s own for those older children starting out as beginners.
